Ketemu lagi di sini.. kali ini, saya mau posting tentang Swap Time IV KSCI, yaitu acara tukar-menukar karya sesama anggota komunitas seni clay Indonesia di seluruh Indonesia. 

Berhubung kekepoan masyarakat akhir-akhir ini makin menjadi-jadi, setelah kami berdiskusi akhirnya memutuskan untuk mengangkat tema JANGAN KEPO hihi..

tema yang sangat absurd ini membuat clayers pada bingung.

Tapi nggak nyangka, hasil karya teman-teman clay ini pada lucu-lucu dan unik. kutulis pembuat karyanya di caption ya. Nah dalam kesempatan ini saya bikin boneka kokeshi dari clay, karena udah mepet banget deadlinenya..akhirnya muncul ide ini, best netizen award.. daripada netizen kepo apalagi maha benar netizen, lebih mending best netizen kan.. 

Terus, juga nggak nyangka banget akhirnya bisa dapat karyanya ce Petra Piet's Art, yang kunantikan sejak dulu kala.. itu aslinya figurenya imut-imut jauh lebih detail dan cakep dari yang di foto. sungguh!

Sekitar beberapa bulan lalu, seorang teman craftku yang baik dan sudah senior memesan figures untuk hadiah cucu kembarnya yang berulang tahun. 

Karena the twins ini lucu banget, saya senang sekali bisa bikin figures dari foto mereka. 

Figures ini kubuat dari full polymer clay dengan menyertakan detil pada baju dan topi. ohya sebenernya tanemannya kubuat glow in the dark tapi karena kesibukan yang amat padat, nggak sempat kufoto <hiks>

Karena pikirku pakai akrilik box kog kurang manis, kebetulan nemu si glass dome ini. rasanya akan lebih cantik untuk melindungi clay figures dari debu. ya harganya sih mirip-mirip dengan akrilik box dan ukurannya terbatas, tapi oke lah untuk dimensi figures dengan tinggi 8-15 cm.  Kalau mau lihat detilnya silahkan ke youtube berikut ini.

Panakawan Javanese Wayang Miniature Clay Thimble

I remember when I was a kid, there was comedy program on TV called Ria Jenaka. It presented comedians of Panakawan. I was not fan of it because its not really fun for me and not cute at all. (sorry) But here I am, I just understand what is Panakawan. If you know Javanese wayang, Panakawan is one of its. I am super proud of this Java heritage.

This is from wikipedia: "Punokawan or panakawan or panakavan (phanakavhan) are the clown servants of the hero. There are four of them – Semar (also known as Ki Lurah Semar), Petruk, Gareng and Bagong. Semar is the personification of a deity, sometimes said to be the dhanyang or guardian spirit of the island of Java. In Javanese mythology, deities can only manifest themselves as ugly or otherwise unprepossessing humans, and so Semar is always portrayed as short and fat with a pug nose and a dangling hernia.

His three companions are his adopted sons (I just know it.. they are his adopted sons hehe), 
They given to Semar as votaries by their parents. Petruk is portrayed as tall and gangling with a long nose, Gareng as short with a club foot and Bagong as obese." if you want to know further more then google it.

One of my craft friends ask me to make the miniature of the Panakawan complete with gamelans (Java music instruments) on the thimble. Since its very creepy actually for me, I want to made it more cute. I remember their face is white and red lips and their funny hair style, so I made it.

This miniatures made of Cernit polymer clay and I used WPO polymer clay varnish to give glossy looks. if you see the batik, I use polymer cane technique with asoka flowers inspiration. I use white, gold, brown and black combinations. I think making cane is quite addictive lol

oh No.. I'm too lazy writing again in this blog, due to so many food replica projects.. like..I don't have any time to continue my journey when in japan last june. <hiks> please forgive me readers, I will ...sure I will someday, please give me some more time.

Beside mostly food replica, I am so happy to post this wedding cake topper. not just because it is 3D figure, but it is a cake topper for a special Indonesian woman marrying western man. The woman has asian brown skin and the man has "bule" american white skin. oh..and she loves her cat, and she want this cat also there in their wedding cake topper. I was feel working for royal wedding.

here it is.. the royal wedding cake topper with 15 cm height of the bride. 
I made it with polymer clay, a combination of cernit and sculpey living doll. As we knew, working with polymer clay for big figure like this never been easy specially if you want make a nice fall wedding dress and to get the happy lovely expression or emotion of the figures. It needs repeat sculpt here and there.. over and over 

But I'm so happy finish this :) I hope the wedding goes smooth, the bride and groom will happy ever after. Happy wedding

Pororo Polymer Clay Figure

Tahun 2017 ini rasanya super cepat, secepat kilat. Rasanya baru January awal tahun ada banyak harapan-harapan, tapi tiba-tiba sudah hampir akhir tahun. Rasanya ada banyak hal yang  belum terwujud, seperti rutin mengisi channel youtube dengan video tutorial. Tapi di sisi lain banyak ucapan syukur juga, Tuhan banyak memberikan kesempatan untuk mencoba hal-hal baru dalam berkreasi, banyak ketemu teman baru, dan banyak hal lainnya yang tidak bisa kuceritakan semua. 

Dengan banyaknya kesibukan dengan dummy food tahun ini, akhirnya bikin figure kesukaanku, Pororo :) Tadinya pororo dan petty ini mau kubuat dari air dry clay, tapi sesekali coba juga deh bikin 3D figure yang lumayan besar pakai polymer clay. Figure ini kubuat dari polymer clay cernit. Untuk warna-warnanya memang kusesuaikan dengan warna karakter aslinya dan jadilah Pororo figure dan Petty setinggi 5 cm. Pororo yang ini akan terbang ke singapore akhir tahun ini :)

Karena Pororo Identik dengan salju dan di pengunungan es, kubuat fotonya dengan background es beneran. Jadi Es seplastik besar kuhancurin dan dibentuk seolah jadi pegunungan es, dialasi papan/ stereofoam putih. jadi deh suasana gunung salju tempat di mana Pororo dan teman-temannya tinggal. Hehe karena aku cukup suka fotografi, mulai dari bikin esnya dan proses foto-fotonya cukup membuat hatiku senang.

Nah, figure pororo semacam ini, keunggulannya memakai polymer clay adalah ketahanannya terhadap air, jadi misal setelah dijadikan cake topper, setelahnya masih bisa dipajang atau dijadikan toys/ mainan/ objek foto. Tentu saja untuk cake topper, figure yang terbuat dari clay harus disesuaikan beratnya dengan jenis kuenya. kalau dummy cake sangat tidak apa-apa, tapi kalau cake yang mudah ambles/ super lembut, kusarankan topper memakai light weight air dry clay. Untuk ukuran 5-10 cm, kurasa polymer clay masih tergolong ringan.

This is my "beauty and the beast" week, I'm kind of can't stop making belle princess doll :D

here you can see my last figure of belle in blue dress when she singing bonjour while she carrying her favorite book. And this one is when belle has beautiful dancing with the Beast. I make it little glamour and follow the Emma Watson's yellow dress. Oh I wanna dance like her :D

If you want to know the polymer clay I use, it is cernit. For the dress I used translucent yellow mixed up with glamour white :) Its beautiful.

So this one I make the picture just like in blue night with shining stars :)

Semi 3D Figure Belle Beauty and the beast

Beberapa minggu ini saya super sangat sibuk, masih sama berkecimpung di dummy makanan. Karena cukup penat, kemaren malem diriku tidak bisa tidur, jam 11 malam akhirnya bikin figure semi 3Dnya Belle deh hihi... Ini kuanggap fanartnya Belle dan tidak kujual, alias buat koleksi sendiri dan dipajang di lemari pajangan. hehehe

Ohya, saya lumayan suka Belle dari kecil, karena princess ini nggak cuma mendambakan pangeran berkuda. Tapi princess ini suka baca buku dan cerdas, juga sifatnya tulus :) 

Ah dulu inget banget waktu kecil om saya ngajak nonton Belle di bioskop.. rasanya seneeng banget. jujur deh..lebih suka Belle sama si the Beast (pas jadi beast) daripada pas berubah jadi ganteng..hahaha *pikiran anak-anakku dulu cukup aneh ya :P

Figure Belle ini kubuat dari cernit polymer clay, sengaja full cernit pengen benar-benar tahu hasilnya gimana. Bagian kepala dan tangan + kaki, dari cernit flesh kode 425 dan kucampur porcelain white 50%-50%.

Dan roknya.. uhuiiii suka deh, pakai warna blue yang translucent kucampur sedikit glamour white. Jadinya ada shiny pearl effectnya. celemeknya juga dari glamour white.. cantik nggak? Clay Diorama: Family in little island

This diorama I made for my friend who inspire me about home schooling educations for my future kids :) She is so talented.

The diorama is about one happy family. There are husband, wife and a little boy... they are lost in one little island. But they are not sad and confuse, instead.. they are so happy find this island because there are many beautiful creatures, crabs, sea snails, fish, and others. The beach also so clean and blue :)

Hoho.. Actually this is kind of first time I make coconut tree miniature. I was quite worry when it on shipping the leave will broken. but it fine. 

One thing make me feel regret, my friend told me that the cartoon box is wet and broken when she receive this diorama, some figure parts like her figure hair already loose. It still can be fixed by clear metal glue but I am so sorry and I learned from this I must cover the cartoon box with tight plastic cover for next any figures packaging.

Hi, Happy New Year 2017 everyone.

I don't really have much resolutions this year 2017. I just hope everything goes well. About last 2016 my allergic became worst, maybe I have pushed my self too hard. last time there are some rush order. That's why I want this 2017 be more flexible and I think I need traveling some times. 

So this week as first week in 2017, I made some miniatures that been requested last year, I mean really one year ago by my friend. She has BJD doll hobby and so really patience waiting me make this miniature for her doll props.

Ok lets see here :) there are snoopy theme and bear rilakkuma theme. I love this collections.

Grow old together like Carl & Ellie cake topper

This cake topper I made for a couple who look like Carl & Ellie, I can't share their photos but really :D the different is they're Indonesian with black hair and the husband wanna be asked for spiky hair and..he is taller :D

This clay figure about -+ 12 cm height and I used a transparent clay on Ellie's head cover. The most difficult part is Ellie's dress, it looks simple but it's not really easy making  kind of blooming dress in the bottom part without line/cutting print in above parts, the second one is carl's glasses :D but I'm really happy making them. I'm a fan of UP :)

Clay Figure Soldier and Tank

Hi ! about last week I made this soldier figure and the tank as my customer request. The soldier is 8 cm height, he wearing soldier green jacket and grey hat also pants. 

The difficult part is the tank, because the size is quite big and I never make any tank before. Sometimes making the clay look flat is not easy, but I'm grateful it finally done.

I'm happy making this clay, the happiest part is painting the army motif :) its the gradation of light green, old green, brown and some grey.

Hm.. lately Indonesia has a famous  handsome police, I thought we have handsome soldier too. I made one of them in clay figure :)

Carl and Ellie chairs wedding cake topper

After I made Carl & Ellie figures on the frame last year, this week I have chance to make Carl & Ellie chairs for wedding cake toppers. 

These chairs have so much meaning when they were reading together, watching TV, holding hand and else. I think it is a good ideas for wedding anniversary cake too :)
